IDRRES will be exhibiting key areas of its work at the European Parliament from the 21st to the 25th of November. The exhibition, entitled ‘Interdisciplinary Antimicrobial Resistance Research: Local and Global Knowledge Gaps’, is hosted by Christel Schaldemose MEP and organised in collaboration with Central Denmark’s EU Regional Office.

Aarhus University researchers, representing three different faculties, will be presenting their most recent research endeavours to MEPs and their staff, raising awareness of the need for interdisciplinary research to address the growing threat of AMR in the EU and beyond.

Introducing IDRRES and the concept of interdisciplinary AMR research, the exhibition draws inspiration from the Aarhus Capital of Culture 2017 slogan (‘Rethink’) and is divided into three sub-sections;

·         UNDERSTAND the social production of AMR (watch video)

·         RETHINK Antimicrobials (watch video)

·         OVERCOME Antimicrobial Resistance in Farm Animals (watch video)

The exhibition will be formally opened at a reception on the 21st of November from 18:00-19:30, including a welcome address by Christel Schaldemose MEP, a keynote from Scientific Project Officer Dr Arjon van Hengel from DG Research and Innovation and panel discussion featuring the IDRRES team.
